Open Space Aarhus(OSAA) will sign a lease from 1. june 2010. Thus Open Space Aarhus wil be in charge of the Space and you should be a member of OSAA to have access. More about memebership in OSAA. In essence either you pay or you dont. If you are a fullmember for 150.- a month you will get 24/7 access, as a full member you are allowed to bring your friends (members who doesn't pay).

  • university keycard is required, there will be somebody there who can let you in if you don't have a keycard.
  • You need to go all the way in to the yard to find the entrance
  • Please note the at night the gate will be closed so its not possible to get you car out if you park in the yard. Bikes can get out though.


There is enough space, but there are also alot of drawbacks

  • Only people with an chip-card from Aarhus Uni can enter
  • It's not very comfortable
  • We must share it with other people
  • it will not be available from May (students doing their project there)

The new organization Open Space Aarhus (OSAA) has been formed with the sole purpose of finding and maintaining space and infrastructure for several "geeky" organizations in Århus, visit their site for more info.. the following is for inspiration for the upcoming OSAA meeting:

  • there will be workshops with politicians to get ideas for the usage of the huge space ==> someone from HackAarhus should join this workshop and present our idea/plans
    • workshop participants will be provided with a hotel, food, etc.
  • politicians then decide based on the input from the participants on what to do


There are no available space before 2012 - but we should be on a list of organisations who are interested in renting space there. This would be a nice environment to be in, but as this is very far into the future there is no telling if they want us or we really want to be there.
